Monaco's Prince Albert entered in the bobsleigh

Prince Albert of Monaco will represent his country in the bobsleigh competition for a fourth straight winter games at the Nagano Olympics, the Nagano Olympic organizing committee (NAOC) said late Saturday.

A member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Prince Albert has taken part in the bobsleigh competition since the 1988 Calgary Olympic Winter Games.

A member of the IOC since 1985, the 39-year-old Prince Albert is also an avid rower and golfer.

Other ''celebrity'' participants in the bobsleigh competition include Dudley Stokes of the Jamaican bobsleigh team, which was the subject of the popular Disney movie ''Cool Runnings'' based on the Jamaican bobsleigh's teams first-ever entry in the winter games in Calgary.

Germany's Georg Hackl, who is aiming for his third straight Olympic gold medal, is entered in the men's single event of the luge competition.
