Database Services
On July 1, 1995, the Media Development Department began maintaining a database containing three forms of data: Shinano Mainichi Shimbun articles, photographs, and images of actual newspaper pages. This database allows for systematic searches by keyword or category. As a result of these multimedia features, database users are able to receive faxed images of the newspaper, as well as accompanying photographs, charts or tables. This database is a helpful source of information for businesses and consumers alike, and has been available at a fee to the general public since January 1997.
